CRSB Appoints new Committee members

CRSB is pleased to announce that following a call for volunteers, we have filled a number of committee positions on our Certified Sustainable Beef Framework and Communications and Marketing Committees.  We would like to thank all those who answered the call, and volunteered to serve on these committees. Over 20 new expressions of interest were received during the Call for Volunteers!

Certified Sustainable Beef Framework Committee

Two vacant seats have been filled on the Certified Sustainable Beef Framework Committee, responsible for implementation and maintenance of the CRSBCertified framework in the Retail & Foodservice and Member-at-Large categories:

Communications and Marketing Committee

The Communications and Marketing Committee has been refreshed with a number of returning members, as well several new members. The committee is comprised of a diverse group of stakeholders across CRSB’s membership, with key expertise to help guide communications and marketing initiatives to build awareness about sustainability, and build public trust in Canadian beef.

This new committee includes representation including producers, processors, NGOs, and specific marketing expertise from agri-business and the retail and foodservice sector.  The committee will be chaired by Crystal Mackay, President of the Canadian Centre for Food Integrity.

We look forward to working with all of our stakeholders, and thank everyone for their continued commitment and support of the CRSB.
