At the Calgary Stampede, Agriculture Minister Marie-Claude Bibeau announced an investment of $8.3 million in support of the Canadian Beef industry for a total of six projects through the Canadian Agricultural Partnership.
CRSB is pleased to be among the recipients of this investment, with $1.1 million under the government's AgriAssurance Program to enhance and support development and implementation of the Certified Sustainable Beef Framework that will enhance public trust for Canadian Beef.
The Verified Beef Production Plus Program also received funding to help enhance training and tools to support producers in providing assurances to consumers about sustainable beef production.
CRSB Chair Anne Wasko was pleased to speak on behalf of the beef industry during the announcement, which took place next to CRSB's booth in the Cattle Trail.
